EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is a standard that specifies the formats for images, sound, and ancillary tags used by digital cameras and smartphones.
When you take a photo, your device automatically embeds hidden data inside the file. This can include:
- GPS Coordinates: The exact location where the photo was taken (Latitude, Longitude).
- Device Information: Camera make, model, lens type, and software version.
- Settings: Shutter speed, ISO, aperture, flash usage.
- Timestamps: The precise date and time of capture.
